Choose one or more of these activities to do together as a family:
Think about things that are everlasting or never end. The symbol of a circle can be found in the Advent Wreath, or in the circle in the outdoor cross in front of our church. Go on a scavenger hunt in your home and find things that remind you of no beginning and no end. As you find these remember that Jesus’ love is everlasting.
Make a paper chain of circles, alternating colors. As you tape or staple the circles together talk about how Jesus’ qualities of everlasting parent can support us through life’s challenges. What challenges might you be facing? How does the everlasting nature of Jesus’ love and forgiveness impact our lives? When you finish your conversation, add the paper chain to your Christmas tree and connect the ends to signify Jesus’ everlasting love.
Each week in our alternative worship services, worshipers are being invited to help color a large poster in the center of our Fellowship Hall. Completed posters are being posted on the wall after each Sunday. Print out and color your own copy of this week's poster.
